Reliable, valid results
We understand the impact of test results and carefully attend to test rating. We train examiners before all assessments to ensure consistency and accuracy. Residency is the transition period between medical school and independent practice. Our education programs aim to identify and fill any gaps that may exist between university programs provided to Canadian medical graduates and training that international medical graduates (IMGs) have received in preparation for residency. Touchstone Institute currently offers three types of education programs:
A solid foundation
All programs are grounded in the CanMEDS Framework (2005), which was developed by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the CanMEDS-FM Framework, an adaptation of the CanMEDS Framework by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for family medicine education.
We regularly evaluate our programs to understand our learners’ needs and further program development. During and after each academic cycle, we collect and analyze learner feedback on the overall program, classroom sessions, online modules, and individual lecturers. Data is used to evaluate and modify our programs in collaboration with program directors and academic consultants.
